Boundaries in the making

The new Mackie’s site neighbourhood and environments present a challenge in not pre-naming the new urban spaces, but letting them evolve to find relationships between the households and potential residents. Rather than a keyed site plan, we have generated categories that do not limit the qualitative nature of elements. Voting is now closed!

Interesting presentation and beautiful drawings/ideas. However, the concept tends to be underwhelmed by the influence of the grid. It overtakes every single detail from plan to finishes. Not sure if it would be convenient to pursuit meticulous gestures.

Lots of rigour and vigour but built out appears too complicated and alien in context

This is brilliant. Let’s get invest NI to pay for it with all that public money they’re getting from us? Our politicians need to get behind this. No more squabbling and wasting money and time. If you’re serious about supporting the people you would support a people led community like this.

I appreciate how integrated this site is with the rest of the city. I also particularly like how the units are flexible for changing family situations.
